Minister of Natural Resources in hashtag#Eswatini, HRH Prince Lonkhokhela Dlamini has said the river basins that weave through Eswatini, hashtag#Mozambique, and hashtag#South Africa are the lifeblood of the three countries’ economies.
Speaking during the inaugural Meeting of the Council of Ministers of the Incomati and Maputo Watercourse Commission – INMACOM held on June 5, in Johannesburg, South Africa, Hon. Lonkhokhela Dlamini said the river basins anchor the countries’ ecosystems and are the foundational support for the livelihoods of millions of citizens in the three countries.
He said the Meeting of the Council of Ministers underscored an undeniable truth that “our water resources are shared, our climate risks are shared, and our prosperity is inextricably linked.”
The Minister added that the treaties and agreements that the three countries signed demonstrate the strong political will by the three countries.
