On April 17th, INMACOM convened a crucial preparatory meeting ahead of the upcoming Council of Ministers gathering our highest political and decision-making platform.
Scheduled for June 2026 in South Africa, this high-level meeting will bring together Ministers from South Africa, Mozambique, and Eswatini to discuss strategic guidance on transboundary water governance, source-to-sea management, and institutional strengthening under the GEF 8 programme.
The session highlighted the importance of effective communication, stakeholder engagement, and elevating INMACOM’s profile as a regional leader in shared water resources management. This convening reflects the Commission’s political authority, strategic vision, and collective commitment to sustainable water management in the region.
