Under the motto Industrialization: Innovation and Diversification of the National Economy, the Maputo International Fair, better known as FACIM, takes place from August 26th to September 1st, at the Ricatla International Fair and Exhibition Center, in the Municipality of Marracuene, in the Province of Maputo.

The event was officially opened by the President of the Republic of Mozambique, Filipe Jacinto Nyusi, who visited the Public Works, Housing and Water Resources pavilion, where INMACOM exhibits its activities, and aims to showcase production, export capabilities of the country, provide business and investment opportunities at national and international level.

It is along this path that INMACOM, the Incomáti and Maputo Watercourse Commission, established by the Kingdom of Eswatini, the Republic of Mozambique and the Republic of South Africa, participates in this fair with the aim of promoting its vision of being a leading institution in transboundary water management, which promotes sustainable and equitable management, the protection of shared water resources in the Maputo and Incomáti basins and shows the public the importance of the activities carried out by this entity.

According to André Moiane, Specialist in GIS and Modeling and one of the members of the INMACOM team present at the fair, “many technicians from the area of water resources and university students are visiting the stand and have shown interest in understanding the activities carried out by INMACOM”.

The Maputo International Fair lasts seven days and INMACOM participates in the exhibition for the second consecutive year, in the pavilion of the Ministry of Public Works, Housing and Water Resources, with other institutions linked to the Sector, including the National Management Directorate of Water Resources, National Directorate of Water Supply and Sanitation and Regional Administration of Waters of the South, all from Mozambique.
